Do I need any special software to use AnswerTrack?

No, the AnswerTrack software runs on our servers. All that is required from your end is a valid email address capable of forwarding email.

Do we need to have our email server hosted by XFire Web?

No, companies running their own mail servers may continue to do so. To setup email accounts like support@yourcompany.com, sales@yourcompany.com, etc. for tracking, you just forward those accounts to the AnswerTrack Server.

What happens when a user emails a tracked email account?

When an email is sent to a tracked email account, the message will be forwarded to the AnswerTrack server, assigned a unique tracking number then forwarded to one of the logged in agents. For additional information see the message flow diagram.

What email client should our agents use?

Agents can use any email client of their choice.

What is an agent?

An agent is an individual, such as a support technician, who is assigned to one or more mailboxes and receives tracked and routed email messages.
